Leading Wellbeing in the Workplace – Registrations Now Open

Leading Wellbeing in the Workplace is an LMHA‑certified programme designed specifically for managersHR professionals, and people leaders across the business community and was developed in response to requests from the business community.

The wellbeing of employees is essential to company success.  Mental health issues impact substantially on productivity and efficiency in organisations in terms of absences, lack of performance and staff morale.  This can have real economic consequences for the organisation. Employers should be aware of the prevalence of mental health problems and ensure that they create a work environment which supports the wellbeing of all their employees.

Designed by a chartered psychologist and delivered by psychology qualified experts, this programme provides training for HR professionals, leaders and people managers.  Using real world examples, it supports participants to understand the importance of positive mental wellbeing in the workplace and devise strategies for promoting it and dealing with crises in the workplace.  The programme will be delivered to groups from different workplaces, so that participants can learn from one another and share experiences.  The programme is designed for 10-15 participants at a cost of €1500 per participant.  All proceeds from the programme will be used to support Limerick Mental Health Association to provide services that promote positive mental health in Limerick City and County.

Aim of programme

To support managers and HR professionals to acquire the skills and knowledge to understand, manage and respond to those experiencing mental health difficulties as well as to put in place structures and practices which support mental wellness at work.

The programme is delivered in four sessions with a follow up supported portfolio project which when complete will allow participants to achieve the LMHA mental wellness award and digital badge. The programme will be funded by Skillnet with a contribution for each participant from the employer.

On completion of this programme participants will:

  • Understand the importance of mental wellness in the workplace.
  • Be aware of a range of mental distress conditions and interventions.
  • Know the skills for responding to a person in crisis
  • Identify the value of resilience for wellness in the workplace.
  • Present a strategy for wellness in their workplace.
CERTIFICATION / CREDENTIAL:

On successful completion, participants receive an official digital badge awarded by the Limerick Mental Health Association, recognising not only their engagement with the training but also their demonstrated commitment to promoting positive mental health in their organisation.
