The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) is a plan, which teaches you how to keep yourself well. It helps you to identify and monitor your triggers and puts in place simple strategies to reduce or eliminate symptoms. The plan empowers you to take control of your physical and mental health and overall wellness. WRAP can help reduce feelings of discomfort and improve an individual’s self-awareness.
WRAP Workshops
We run regular workshops, to provide you with tools and training catered to your individual needs. The WRAP programme was developed by Mary Ellen Copeland.
WRAP is a tool that helps you with:
- Managing mental health difficulties.
- Taking control of physical health and fitness.
- Changing behaviours e.g. quitting smoking, changing eating habits.
- Planning a budget and ways to save money.
- Parenting.
- Seeking employment or reaching educational goals.
- Helping carers to manage challenging or difficult behaviours.
Your WRAP programme is tailored to you in practical, day-to-day terms and holds the key to achieving goals set by you.
Seminar I: Introduction to mental health recovery and WRAP
In this workshop, you will learn how to develop your own WRAP as a personalised tool to achieve your own wellness goals.
These workshops are for anyone and give you skills that you can carry through to different situations in life.
Seminar II: WRAP Facilitator Training
This is a certificate course and is co-facilitated by certified advanced level WRAP facilitators. Participants in this certificate course are provided with Dr. Mary Ellen Copeland’s WRAP facilitator manual. They learn how to use it to facilitate WRAP workshops. This allows them to use techniques, which support a core set of values and ethics.
This workshop is for anyone who has completed the Seminar I WRAP workshop and who can demonstrate WRAP through personal examples of how they used WRAP in their life.

Wellness Toolbox
We provide you with tools and training tailored to your individual needs. You may already know and do some of the things from the Wellness Toolbox, but this gives you the focus and drive to use them every day.
Wellness tools include things like developing a strong support system, peer counselling, concentration, relaxation and stress reduction exercises.
It also uses things like keeping a journal, creative, fun and affirming activities, exercises and diet, and the importance of getting a good night’s sleep. You can add new ideas to the list as you think of them and you can continue to work on it and develop it over time.
