Looking to share your skills and meet a like-minded group of men?
Come on down to St. Joseph’s Hospital every Thursday from 12-2pm and join in the weekly activity at our men’s shed in the therapeutic garden. Throughout January, the LMHA team has been working hard to restore the garden, so that the men’s shed can get back into full swing.
With Spring around the corner, now is the time to get back into the garden and make this beautiful area at St. Joseph’s flourish! Come along and help out planting vegetables and flowers, enjoy regular tutorials and other gardening activities.
Gardening, spending time in nature, and connecting with people with similar interests are all proven to be a great benefit to mental health.
Anybody over the age of 18 is welcome. No previous gardening experience or no special skills necessary. All materials are provided as well as tea, coffee, biscuits and areas to sit and relax and chat.
No booking is necessary, just come along to the garden on Thursdays at 12pm! Remember to wear old clothes and sensible shoes. It can get cold and wet out in the garden, so its a good idea to layer up.
