As we approach the festive season, I want to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. December is a time of reflection, gratitude, and celebration, and I’m excited to share some important updates from Limerick Mental Health Association.
Holiday Closing Times
Please be aware that our offices will be closing at 5 pm on the 22nd of December and will reopen at 9 am on the 3rd of January. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period.
Annual Christmas get-together for our Service Users
I would also like to announce that we will hold our annual Christmas get-together for service users in-house in LMHA at 1 pm on Dec 22nd where we hope to connect with friends old and new. If you are interested in our services or would like to just like to socialise within a non-judgemental space please come along on the day we would love to see you.

New and Ongoing Classes for Dec/Jan
Looking forward to the new year I would like to draw your attention to our ongoing and new classes. Below you will two of our most popular classes keep an eye on our website and social for the full class timetable.
Please Note: Boxercise classes on Saturdays have now finished.
New Managing Stress and Anxiety Class
Join us every Monday from 3:30 pm to 6 pm for our new Managing Stress and Anxiety class. Learn effective strategies to cope with life’s challenges and enhance your overall well-being. This class promises a supportive and empowering environment. This class is run under the excellent supervision of Geraldine Lyons a well-known and well-loved facilitator who has given multiple courses here at LMHA.
Breathwork Class
Discover the transformative benefits of our Breathwork and Meditation with Lisa Class, held every Wednesday from 6 pm to 7 pm. This practice promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances mental clarity. Join us as we explore the power of breath for improved mental health.
Call in for one of our classes or just for a cup of tea or coffee.
Walk-ins welcome Mon – Fri 9am-5pm.

Farewell to UL Placement Students
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible UL placement students – Emma Murphy, Aine Drumm, Rosheen Culhane, and Kristija Vingra. Your dedication, hard work, and compassion have left an indelible mark on our organization. You will be missed, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
