Mental Health Ireland and Limerick Mental Health Week

Who are we?

Mental Health Ireland’s aim is to promote mental health and wellbeing to all individuals and communities and to actively support people who experience mental health difficulties on their journey of recovery.

Importance of Limerick Mental Health Week

Over that past half-century there has been an extraordinary shift in public perception, understanding and attitudes to mental health in Ireland. MHI and our 87 MHAs have played a pivotal role in bringing about these changes and we will continue to drive the agenda forward. We are about leading change in mental health.

Martin Rogan, CEO of Mental Health Ireland said:

“We are delighted to support Limerick Mental Health Association once again in the roll out of their week-long Mental Health Week activities and events for everyone in their community. Mental Health Ireland is truly a national organisation with volunteers and staff working right across Ireland. Over its first 50 years, MHI has created a new context for how we understand mental health issues, not just for ourselves, but for all the members of our community. We look forward to attending some of the events in Limerick and supporting the great work our Limerick volunteers do”
